FYI: LPG did not provide erroneous information to any news agency. However, some of the information about LPG in the news stories below is inaccurate. For example: LPG does not run a car wash that employs bikini clad women. LPG is a poker party & entertainment services company based in Seattle that occasionally has events to raise money for local charities...such as our bikini car wash events.

Aug. 14, 2009 - KISW's Afternoon Show "The Mens Room" Gives A Shout Out

Miles, Thrill and The Ted Smith (KISW's Mens Room) were nice enough to plug tomorrow's Bikini Car Wash for charity. The car wash will benefit Childhood Cancer Careline and will be held at the Cowgirls Espresso #3 in Renton. 10750 SE Carr Road,  98055.

Aug. 03, 2009 - Make-A-Wish Contributions Down But Their Audacity Is Up

When MAWF called LPG asking for a favor (as mentioned in the July 23rd story below) LPG replied "absolutely...no problem". LPG was willing to let sleeping dogs lye and provide no further comments online or to the media regarding their previous "misunderstanding" with MAWF.

You'd think that would be the end of it, but no. MAWF has and seemingly continues to receive plenty of negative attention for refusing to accept a possible donation from LPG's
Bikini Car Wash, then agreeing to accept a donation only if LPG submits it anonymously. MAWF then changed their decision once again by telling LPG they would accept a donation should LPG present one. Why does LPG assume MAWF is still dealing with the effects of so much negative public out-cry regarding their decision? Why else would Barry, from MAWF, c
all Ronnie (President of LPG) and ask for yet another favor? Barry actually had the audacity to ask Ronnie to remove the July 23rd story from the news page of LocalPrivateGame.com?

Believing in and supporting what the MAWF does for children, and not wanting them to receive more negative attention, Ronnie agreed to remove the July 23rd news story from the LPG web site. However, after he had a few days to think about it, Ronnie decided to have the July 23rd story re-posted saying, “Though they won’t admit it, politically they don’t dare. Make-A-Wish was wrong from the start. We’ve politely accommodated the requests of a company that has publicly shunned and discredited us. Why, I have no idea. No more. I have a big problem with hypocrites and those that care more about their public image, in the eyes of a few miserable, pain-in-the-ass, self-righteous complainers, rather than the children they’re supposed to be helping.”

July 25, 2009 - Understaffed and Overheated LPGGirls Washed Away pics here
LPGGirls were short handed due to some promised help not showing up to help with the bikini car wash. However, our bikini clad beauties braved the blazing sun and washed then dried every car that arrived. We'd like to thank those that came down and donated.

July 23, 2009 - Make-A-Wish Foundation Agrees To Accept Donation From LPG
LPG received a returned call from MAWF today. Both parties agreed there was too much focus placed on what was likely a miscommunication between the two companies. Those crossed signals recently resulted in plenty of negative publicity for MAWF.

After the call Ronnie said, "Regardless of what has happened over the last week, I'm pleased to announce the MAWF has told me they will accept a donation from LPG should such a donation be presented after our Bikini Car Wash benefiting local charities." Both sides appear to agree that this issue is closed and no further comment is necessary.

July 22, 2009 - KOMO 4 News Commentator Ken Schram Talks About LPG.
LPG was not mentioned by name but we were clearly the business Ken Schram was referring to when he said, "You've gotta be kidding me. Why would a children's charity take a snobbish stand and turn up its nose at an honest donation?"
